Mission
To be the “family voice” for supportive pediatric end-of-life care via advocacy, education, and research

Objectives

• Advocate on behalf of dying children and their families and empower families to self-advocate for compassionate end-of-life care

• Educate healthcare professionals and the community as to how they can provide family-centered care
during and after the loss of a child

• Conduct research that will change policy/ procedures and assist in creating resources related to supportive care for dying children and their families

• Bring awareness to the range of decisions, situations, and issues that families face while a child is dying

• Inspire those who care for dying children to be compassionate and empathetic to all of the family’s needs -- physical, psychosocial, financial, and spiritual

• Encourage more open and honest dialogue about the death of a child to facilitate healing among families, healthcare professionals, and communities
